From early on, I’ve been drawn to understanding how things work beneath the surface. I’ve always been interested in systems, patterns, and the ways people move through them. Over time, that curiosity became a way of seeing, and eventually, a way of designing. Growing up in Milan shaped my creative eye early on. In the early 2000s, the city was actively embracing modern art and contemporary design, and being surrounded by that cultural shift influenced how I learned to look, question, and interpret visual language. At 17, I entered the Hartford Art School, where I developed a foundation in fine arts with a focus on photography. My studies centered on experimental camera techniques and alternative printing methods, grounding my work in process, materiality, and visual thinking. Following my graduation and subsequent move to New York City, I worked across the visual arts field as a photographer, graphic designer, and within the business side of creative organizations. Over seven years, this dual perspective helped me understand not only how things are made, but why they are made and who they are for. That experience led me to product design, and later to Pratt Institute, where I deepened my interest in designing inclusive experiences that support a wide range of users. Alongside my professional work, I maintain a close relationship with the visual arts, as well as interests in specialty coffee, motorsport, and spending time outdoors. These pursuits continue to influence how I think about pace, precision, and attention to detail. Today, my work focuses on designing digital experiences that help people orient themselves within complex systems. I’m especially interested in creating products that guide movement, reduce friction, and support confident decision-making.
